Two dead in apartment fire in Athens

A man and a woman have died in a fire at an apartment in the Athens district of Kolonos.

The fire service said the fire broke out around 5.20 a.m. in a third-floor apartment on Argous and Platonos streets.

Both were found inside the apartment by firefighters.

Officials said two other women from a higher floor were taken to hospital with respiratory problems.
