More than 40 kilograms of hashish with a street value of €320,000 have been found washed ashore on a beach on the southeastern island of Rhodes, authorities said.
The discovery was made Friday at Plymmiri near Lindos, a Coast Guard statement said. It said the drugs were packaged inside a closed straw basket and weighed a total 42.8 kilos.
Authorities on Rhodes are now keeping an eye on beaches for more packages of hashish. It’s still unclear where the drugs found at Plymmiri came from.
